The Trump Foundation’s Legal Defense? But Her Emails!

The Trump family's fake charity foundation has been effectively shuttered after being exposed for engaging in illegal self-dealing, but the Trump Foundation is still defending itself in court against those accusations.

Trump family lawyers are arguing in court that New York's lawsuit against the Trump Foundation should be dismissed before going to trial because blah blah blah Hillary Clinton.

In the motion Thursday, Trump attorney Alan S. Futerfas argued that former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman "made it his stated mission to 'lead the resistance' and attack Mr. Trump whenever possible" and "used his public antipathy for Mr. Trump to solicit donations for his own re-election campaign and advance his career interests and aspirations." "At the same time, the NYAG turned a blind eye to serious and significant allegations of misconduct involving the Clinton Foundation, including claims that it, and its subsidiaries, violated New York law by failing to disclose $225 million in donations from foreign governments," Futerfas wrote.

There's a big problem here and it's not just the fact that pointing your finger at Hillary Clinton is not a legal defense.

Eric Schneiderman is not currently the attorney general of New York and he was not the attorney general when New York filed a lawsuit against the Trump Foundation. The state's lawsuit against the Trump Foundation was filed by Attorney General Barbara Underwood. You fucking idiots.

But let's not stop there.

Trump and a significant portion of our political press did make a big stink out of foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation in 2016. It is not illegal nor do I personally care if foreign officials made donations to a legitimate charity that distributes medicine and vaccines in developing countries, but let's be clear who we're talking about here.
