When the news broke yesterday about the Iranian missile tests, my honest first reaction was: Yeah, right. In other words, it had to have been a hoax by either the Iranian government or -- why not? -- the Bush administration.
Well, that doesn't sound too crazy considering that the photo of the missiles launching has been revealed as a Photoshopped fake.
Agence France-Presse said that it obtained the image from the Web site of Sepah News, the media arm of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, on Wednesday. But there was no sign of it there later in the day. Today, The Associated Press distributed what appeared to be a nearly identical photo from the same source, but without the fourth missile.
