My record for disliking President Bush should be kept in mind when I say: This was awful.
First, anything resembling an attack on the president is scary. The "man" aside, he's still the President of the United States.
Second, Bushie has excellent reflexes and for the second shoe, he barely flinched. Good for him.
Third, and most disturbing, I counted four or five seconds before the Secret Service surrounded the president. I mean, he appeared to be a sitting duck there for too damn long. I hope the protection isn't as slow on the uptake for our next president.
