These Are The Stakes

Gingrich doesn't mince words:

GINGRICH: If the left manages to drive through a bill which is opposed by 65 percent of the country on health care, our commitment should be simple — when we get a majority, we’re repealing the whole thing. (applause)

And I want every Democrat who is about to sacrifice their seat for socialized medicine to understand: after you lose your seat, you’re going to lose the socialized medicine too.

I know! If you're a congressman and you lose your seat, you won't get taxpayer-funded government-run health insurance and Office of the Attending Physician primary care either.

Seriously, while a lot of fellow progressives want to "kill the bill" anyway because it's not liberal enough, a repeal is exactly what will happen if the Republicans somehow retake Congress. That and the impeachment of the president -- come to think of it there are more than a few progressives who wouldn't mind that so much either. Fortunately, I doubt the Republicans will retake anything next year.

Adding... Newt Gingrich is of Medicare age. I wonder if he partakes in socialized medicine. Bet he does.
