Totally Real

In other news, Trump is reportedly spending $1.75 million on new decorations and furniture for the White House, including $17,000 for custom rugs. I imagine the place will look trashy (gaudy) by the time he leaves.

Meanwhile, survivors of the Las Vegas shooting that left 59 dead and over 500 injured are now facing death threats from conspiracy theorists on Facebook.

Finally, Michael Bloomberg gets the quote of the day:

“It is really hard to understand why a country that was doing so well wanted to ruin it. I did say that I thought it was the single stupidest thing any country has ever done but then we Trumped it." --Bloomberg on the Brexit and Donald Trump

Michael Bloomberg is exactly 100% right. I know the effects of the improving economy didn’t help everyone, myself included, but the economy was headed in the right direction for the majority of the Obama administration and that progress could have been built upon. Trump’s voters chose to throw it away. Like Bush voters did in 2000.

That’s always been the problem with the Republican party. All the God damned Republicans.

That’s the perennial problem with the Red Team.

They only ever care about now now now. Results have to be immediate and obvious, and anything that happens tomorrow is not their problem.

They want to see someone juicing the economy, cutting taxes, cutting expenses, damn the consequences. The idea of a slow deleveraging and sustainable recovery appalls them. Slow and steady is no way to win a race!

Republicans are pathologically incapable of long-term thinking.

        Well said.
