Trump Brags About His Condo at the UN

Trump is visiting the United Nations this week, unfortunately, and he kicked things off this morning by sharing an anecdote about his real estate properties.

“I actually saw great potential right across the street, to be honest with you, and it was only for the reason that the United Nations was here that that turned out to be such a successful project,” he said, immediately after thanking the crowd at a meeting on UN reform.

Yes, thank you. Appreciate the congrats.

  • If the experts are right and our electronic record keeping doesn’t last, future generations may suspect we erased them deliberately in an attempt to subject The Yam to damnatio ad memoriam.

It’s always about him as he tries make himself important and knowledgeable.
He is neither and is seen as a selfagrandizing ignoramus thoughout the world.
    He’s a daily embarrassment.

    Chris Collins:

Appearing on CNN Monday morning, Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY) was asked about Trump’s most recent tweets and how they might impact his first appearance at the UN General Assembly.

“Most of them are pretty stuffy, the folks,” he said. “They’re all hung up on protocol, who shakes whose hand first and what line do you stand in? One thing about President Trump, he doesn’t stand on protocol at all. Whether it’s the way he interacts with crowds and calls people up on stage. He’s just a fun guy, he really is, if anyone would get to know him. So I think the stuffy diplomats at the UN are going to be taken aback a bit.”

    “He’s just a fun guy.”

Who opened his remarks before the United Nations with a plug for commercial property that just happens to have his name affixed to it. That’s a knee-slapper, all right.

“So I think the stuffy diplomats at the UN are going to be taken aback a bit.”

    They’re not the only ones.

Could the protocol be because there are so many diverse cultures with varying norms for acceptable and unacceptable behavior (not to mention language barriers) that it might accidentally lead to an international incident otherwise?

See, there you go, being all logical and multi-cultural again.

I don’t know what came over me. I swear it doesn’t happen on purpose. 😉

Thank God Trump didn’t do something really embarrassing. Ya know, like wearing a tan suit.

Or *shudder* asking for Dijon mustard on a burger.

          Or that arug…ara…fancy lettuce!

  • He cannot see any issue beyond his personal interest in it, whether it be financial or attention.

    • Now if only the Democratic leadership could just find a way to leverage that…..

      Also, water’s wet.
