Trump Finally Confirms He Paid Stormy Daniels

Trump initially denied that he knew about Michael Cohen's scheme to cover up his affair with Stormy Daniels.

Rudy Giuliani appeared on Fox News and confirmed that Trump reimbursed Cohen for covering up the affair.

Trump said Giuliani was wrong and that he hasn't changed his story.

The circle is now complete as Trump's official financial disclosure form confirms that he reimbursed Cohen for the payment to Stormy Daniels.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump acknowledged for the first time that he repaid his attorney Michael Cohen for a payment of at least$100,001 made to a “third party” in 2016, according to ethics disclosures signed by the president that were released by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics on Wednesday.

Cohen made a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, shortly before the Nov. 8, 2016, presidential election in exchange for her staying silent about an alleged affair she had with Trump.

By initially denying any acknowledge of the payment and later disclosing it, Trump may have opened up an entirely new avenue of investigation into everyone involved.

The Office of Government Ethics (OGE) addressed a letter to the Department of Justice informing them that Trump did not disclose the payment in his previous financial disclosure form.

I doubt Trump will be prosecuted for that, but I do believe we'll see his previous disclosure amended to include it. You know, for accuracy.
