Trump Told Federal Agents to Ignore Judges

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen's resignation followed a contentious trip to the border with Trump in which he was "ranting and raving" behind closed doors according to sources who spoke to CNN.

At one point, Trump reportedly told Border Patrol agents that they should break the law and ignore federal judges.

Last Friday, the President visited Calexico, California, where he said, "We're full, our system's full, our country's full -- can't come in! Our country is full, what can you do? We can't handle any more, our country is full. Can't come in, I'm sorry. It's very simple."

Behind the scenes, two sources told CNN, the President told border agents to not let migrants in. Tell them we don't have the capacity, he said. If judges give you trouble, say, "Sorry, judge, I can't do it. We don't have the room."

Sources who spoke to CNN say the agents that Trump spoke to consulted their superiors after he left the room and they were instructed to follow the law because, if they don't, it will be their ass on the line, not Trump's.

Now, while this the most explosive part of the story, CNN also reports that Trump told Nielsen to shut down the border crossing in El Paso, Texas which, if you're not aware, may be the most important economic artery in North America.

Trump could have crashed the economy if Nielsen did what he told her to do that day. And Trump reportedly instructed her to close additional ports of entry in the following days.

The fact that Trump's machinations would leave others more legally exposed than him may be the only thing constraining the Trump regime. Everyone under him has to ask themselves what they're willing to take responsibility for in his name.
