Apparently Baucus delivered his Mafiacare Plan to K Street before he delivered it to the White House. Robert Gibbs wasn't happy about this:
"[W]e’ve seen what we’ve read in the paper, but I do not believe that we’ve seen paper on the plan... I was told that — that K Street had a copy of the Baucus plan, meaning, not surprisingly, the special interests have gotten a copy of the plan that I understand was given to committee members today."
Wow. "Not surprisingly?" Gibbs doesn't say anything like this unless he means it. It's not an "eff you, senator" but it's meant to nail Baucus' connection to lobbyists. The words "special interests" are political code for "thieving douchebags."
