In other news, a federal judge has ruled against Paul Manafort's demand that the judge throw out evidence the FBI collected against him because one of Manafort's employees gave it to them.

Manafort, who is currently jailed in Virginia, had argued the evidence was seized improperly after an FBI agent got one of his employees to open the storage unit, rather than asking Manafort for permission or seeking a warrant.

But Judge Amy Berman Jackson for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia rejected that argument, saying “law enforcement agents do not need a warrant to enter a location if they have voluntary consent.”

Meanwhile, Senate Republicans reportedly have no plans to bring their Marijuana bill up for a vote or even a hearing even though Trump vaguely endorsed it. The bill would allow states to police their own pot policy.

They can't pass anything that's actually helpful.

Finally, this actually happened today:

When I first saw the Melania jacket story break I honestly thought it was a joke. I figured I’d give it a 24 hour debunk window thinking that she couldn’t possibly be that tone deaf (or honest?) to wear a jacket like that. She is, after all, also an immigrant. Surely it was a photoshop punchline, right? And then to discover it was real actually surprised me…shocked me even. Is this her “be best” moment?

I thought the same thing, it had to be a hoax, but then her spox confirmed she was wearing it about 30 minutes later.

The Trump Crime Family really has become a team of comic book villains, haven’t they?

I ain’t got time for Paul Manafort today.

Anyone who thinks the Republicans care even marginally about laws that are needlessly harming their own citizens and wasting a fortune in tax dollars does not understand the Republican party.

She’s as useless as the rest of them.

This is why I have never bought in to the “Poor Melania!” craze. She knows exactly what she is doing and she is complicit. To think otherwise is infantilizing her and removing her responsibility for her own actions.
