How the hell would that work? If Senator Obama wins, he's naturally the presumptive nominee for the Democrats in 2012. No Clinton. Same if McCain wins. No Palin. The only way this scenario would work would be if McCain wins, then dies in office, making (choke!) President Palin (shit!) the presumptive nominee for the Republicans. Rather ghoulish of CNN, no?
