Americans Apparently Love Liberal Conspiracies

According to Fox Business Network's own Lou Dobbs, The Lorax is actually a secret liberal plot to indoctrinate your children to believe in the liberal agenda of combating climate change. Did I mention liberal?

If that's truly the case, and The Lorax really is part of a secret liberal agenda, Americans apparently really love the liberal agenda.

Universal’s The Lorax lunged to $70.7M for the highest non-sequel animated/family film opening. ($5.4M from IMAX, or 8% of the gross which is on the high side for a family film.) It’s the biggest grossing film ever from a Dr Seuss book, as well as the biggest opener of 2012, the 4th biggest March opener, the 8th biggest animated PG film, and the 5th biggest animated 3D film. The $70M-budget toon from Chris Meledandri’s Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me, Hop) also is the 4th biggest Universal opener of all time.

There's been no word on whether or not those seen leaving the theater this weekend immediately visited their nearest OFA office while under the effects of a brain-washing spell cast by Dr. Seuss. However, some children who saw the film were reportedly inspired to plant trees. A true sign of the apocalypse.
