Armstrong Got Ripped Apart

Alberto Contador just rocketed up the final climb in today's Stage 15. And Lance is conceding that Contador is the stronger rider -- which was extraordinarily obvious on the climb. Today, at least, Armstrong wasn't even the second through eighth best rider.

An eery comment from Podium Cafe:

July 19, 1991, the day [Greg] Lemond’s aura of invincibility in the Tour was shattered

July 19, 2009, the day Lance finally met his superior

And...

On both stages Lemond and Armstrong each finished in 9th place.

Weird. Of course the Tour is far from over and Contador has a track record of stupid mistakes. But Armstrong was passed by Cadel Evans who admitted he had the worst day of his cycling career. Not a good sign.
