Governor Pawlenty is just waiting for the go-ahead from the state Supreme Court to certify the election, making Al Franken the new senator from Minnesota. On CNN:
I'm going to follow the direction of the court, John. We expect that ruling any day now. I also expect them to give guidance and direction as to the certificate of election. I'm prepared to sign it as soon as they give the green light.
Maybe now Minnesota will finally have its constitutionally mandated two senators. Expect Norm Coleman to become a cable news regular shortly thereafter.
