Biden Plans To End One Of Trump’s Biggest Disgraces

Although Trump made big, showy moves to stop illegal immigration by building a glorified border fence and sending active duty military service members to the border, his regime primarily slowed immigration by limiting or even canceling valid forms of legal immigration.

One of the ways they did that was by refusing to issue any new visas to Iraqi and Afghani citizens who've risked their lives and the lives of their families to help American forces in those countries. They risked it all for us and we hung them out to dry.

Having shut down the process entirely nearly a year ago, the Washington Post reported yesterday that the new Biden administration plans to restart the process next month.

A State Department official said the U.S. Embassy in Kabul would begin “a phased resumption” of in-person interviews in February. The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity under rules imposed by the State Department, would not comment on how many visas the embassy expects to process.

More than 7,000 special visas allocated to Afghans by Congress in 2020 went unissued, compared with about 5,000 the year before, according to State Department data. Nearly 19,000 visa applications were stuck in processing as of September 2019, according to a State Department audit last year, a number that was all but guaranteed to grow with the coronavirus disruptions.

The Trump regime and primarily Trump's former policy adviser Stephen Miller did not even pretend to care that refusing to grant asylum to foreign citizens who help American forces means fewer foreigners will help us in the future. More of them may justifiably hate us for it.

None of that mattered to them; all that mattered was preventing every last brown-skinned human from entering the United States.

White supremacy is immoral, expensive, and ultimately self-defeating. The "master race" are master failures.
