UPDATE: I don't like the idea of Senator McCaskill taking his place, partly because at this point it looks like the Senate is being pillaged for talent, when, in fact, there are a few talented people who exist outside of the Senate. People who ran a hugely successful 50-state campaign. Like Plouffe.
