In other news, GOP Senator Roy Blunt says he's not running for reelection next year. That means five sitting Republican senators are calling it quits.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has revoked the Trump regime's changes to the Migratory Bird Treaty Act that effectively neutered it and halted prosecutions.

Finally, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed to Oprah that the British royal family is insanely racist. They apparently wanted to know how dark Archie's skin would be.

During the two-hour prime-time interview with Oprah that aired on Sunday on CBS, Meghan referred to them as “concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be.”

Harry had been party to “several conversations” with “family” on the topic, said Meghan.

“About how dark your baby is going to be?” asked Oprah.

“Potentially,” said Meghan, “and what that would mean or look like.”

She declined to name anyone on the other side of the conversation: “I think that would be very damaging to them.”

“They were concerned that if he were too brown, that that would be a problem?” Oprah asked.

“I wasn’t able to follow up with why,” said Meghan “but that — if that’s the assumption you’re making, I think that feels like a pretty safe one.”

Shortly after Harry’s entry into the televised conversation, Oprah asked him about what had been said.

“That conversation I’m never going to share,” Harry said. “At the time, it was awkward. I was a bit shocked.”

“Can you tell us what the question was?” Oprah asked.

“No,” said Harry. “I’m not comfortable with sharing that.”

He went on to say that the subject of future children’s appearance was raised even before their wedding.

“There were some real obvious signs before we even got married that this was going to be really hard.”

Today, March 8th, marks one year since the last time I went to a bar or restaurant. But that was more than just a casual trip to Buffalo Wild Wings for beer and fried pickles. March 8th, 2020 was also the first time I went out in public wearing all of my real clothes and without removing my nail polish. I recall that my hands were shaking until I took my first sip of Blue Moon with a slice of orange hanging on the glass. The young bartender, bless his heart, did not even look at me funny.

I've discussed this before, but it's both fortunate and unfortunate that I've had a year of largely private time to transition before going out again. But in any case, I will be ready. I've come so far in the last year it's staggering even to me. Looking back over the photos in my phone from a year ago reveal someone unrecognizable to me now.

I don't expect I will be vaccinated until May or June at the earliest so it will still be some time before I go back out.
