In other news, even the conservative American Medical Association is warning the GOP not to repeal Obamacare without replacing it.

Meanwhile, Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof spoke in court where he's representing himself. Roof told the jury he's not crazy. Prosecutors also read passages from Roof's prison journal.

“I couldn’t go another day without doing something,” Mr. Roof wrote in a journal that the authorities seized from his jail cell in August 2015. “I couldn’t live with myself.”

He added: “I would like to make it crystal clear I do not regret what I did. I am not sorry. I have not shed a tear for the innocent people I killed.”

Finally, despot-elect Donald Trump has chosen Wall Street attorney Jay Clayton as the next chairman of the SEC. Clayton has represented Goldman Sachs and Barclays. What could go wrong?

The sun actually shined today, so here's some music.

  • I don’t know why Herr Hair hasn’t just moved all of Goldman Sachs over into the WH. Hell, why bother to change their business cards.

The part about the American Medical Association reminds me of the record (remember those things) Ronald Reagan cut for the same organization claiming that if Medicare became law Americans would look back and remember when men were free. Or some such horseshit. If Fox News had existed in the 1960s Medicare might never have made it past the Nixon Administration.

A few weeks back a woman who lost her home because of Steve Mnuchin’s company told Chris Hayes that she knew that Mnuchin was working with the Trump campaign and voted for Trump anyway. She was now very disappointed by Trump’s selection of him for Treasury Secretary. She also said she just wouldn’t even consider voting for Hillary for reasons she was asked about and I doubt make any sense at all anyway. She said that “Mr. Trump” needed to start living up to he’s rhetoric. She still hadn’t learned. I’m not sure these people ever learn.

I wonder if any of the rubes who were stupid enough to buy all the Drain the Swamp garbage are now realizing how just badly they got taken for a ride.

Thanks. I just discovered her recently and now I know what I’ve been missing.

I think people will get the picture with Trump, and I don’t think it will take very long. Trump actually lost by 3 million votes and he’s extremely unpopular even before being sworn in.

Bush was very popular when he took office so it took years and a series of major fuck-ups for a majority of the country to see him for what he was. It won’t take long for Trump because we’re nearly there already.

I hope your right. I hope people show him loyalty because of party or “Well ya know the liberals hate him so…” That kind of nonsense.
