Chris Christie Makes History

Written by SK Ashby

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's approval ratings have not been good for some time, but today they crossed an historic threshold that very few people in the world can say they've ever crossed.

Christie is now less popular than any governor of any state in the last 20 years.

A second survey of New Jersey voters released Tuesday showed a clear majority -- 77 percent -- disapprove of the job Christie is doing as governor, according to a new Quinnipiac University Poll. Only 19 percent approve.

Christie has the lowest approval rating of any governor in any of the nearly dozen states Quinnipiac polls in for more than 20 years, the group said.

If you're Chris Christie, I suppose the good news you can rely on nearly 20 percent of your constituents to support you no matter what happens. Cause a traffic jam, destroy pensions, cancel crucial infrastructure projects, let polluters settle for pennies on the dollar, grovel before Master Trump, engage in human sacrifice -- it doesn't matter; some people will still support you.

If the RNC actually sees fit to select the most unpopular politician in the country to be their next chairman, who am I to argue?
