Christie Criticizes the Muslim Ban, But Not Trump

Governor Reek is still carrying water for Master Trump even though he's been shut out of the administration and even denied the coveted position of RNC chairman.

Christie criticized Trump's Muslim ban yesterday, but not Trump himself.

NEWARK, N.J. -- Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Tuesday that the rollout of President Donald Trump's executive order restricting travel from seven majority-Muslim countries was "terrible."

"The rollout of this executive order was terrible. The way people were not involved or consulted. ... The president deserved much better than the rollout that he got of this plan."

Believe it or not, it's actually the president himself who is responsible for involving and consulting the right people. Trump didn't even consult the Homeland Security secretary responsible for carrying out the order, nor did he consult the State Department tasked with dealing with the foreign repercussions of his order.

I'm old enough to remember when Trump said he would surround himself with the smartest and best people. I remember when Republicans said those around him would make up for Trump's inexperience.

Old cat proverb, that I think also applies in this situation: it is better to live one hour as a tiger, than a lifetime as a worm.

Absolutely fantastic to watch Gov. Christie Cremes still try to suck up to Trump who has completely turned his back on him. When is his reelection failure?

The justification for Trump’s campaign was his alleged managerial, organizational genius. Yet he apparently didn’t even know to pick up the phone to inform the heads of the very agencies that he appointed and let them know that something was happening.

I remain convinced that Donald Trump couldn’t find his ass if used both hands.

If it were anyone but Chris Christie, I might feel some little sympathy toward someone who has the intelligence to recognize evil but lacks the integrity to blame the person ultimately responsible for that evil.

But it’s Chris Christie, so—assuming his concern about the Muslim ban is genuine—I hope this dilemma eats him up inside.

And Donald Trump was lying (or using peculiar definitions of “smartest” and “best”), and the Rs were delusional (or didn’t actually care what mischief Trump might get up to).
