Alex Jones’s ravings are evidence that he knows the federal government has no intention of storming the visitors’ center of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge; the feds are much more likely to blockade the area and wait the idiots out than to go in guns a’blazing (why risk a shootout when the food will run out and the toilets will stop up, and sooner rather than later?).

If the armed, mouthbreathing cosplayers surrender, Jones will effortlessly pivot to praising them for holding their fire and forcing the feds to expend time and effort keeping them bottled up. If they play out whatever sub-Red Dawn fantasy ends with them comiing out shooting, then Jones will claim the big bad gummint’s agents provocateurs made them do it.

For Jones, it’s a win-win.
