Creepy Robot(s) of the Day

Written by SK Ashby

Students from MIT's Biomimetics department tested a pride of mini "cheetahs" on campus this week where the robotic cats endured the cruel laughter of their human masters who ordered them to jump on each other and kick soccer balls.

The robots, which are "twice as fast as an average person" according to MIT, are designed for rugged environments and could eventually have security applications.

While humans can be heard laughing in the video, we all know robots will have the last laugh, right?

The robot uprising is the ultimate "security application."

Or, you know, they could just be used to conduct surveys and deliver packages. That's more likely. Please don't take these posts any more seriously than I do!
