Election 2016

Did House Republicans Inadvertently Screw Giuliani?

Written by SK Ashby

House Republicans called in former FBI director James Comey to fuck the chicken one last time before they lose control of oversight in Congress, but in doing so they may have implicated Trump's fake lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

During his testimony, Comey disclosed that he directed the FBI to investigate whether information was being leaked from the New York field office to Trump's campaign surrogate in 2016 because it appeared that Giuliani was privy to information that he shouldn't have been privy to.

Citing Comey's testimony in front of House Republicans, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) has now filed a lawsuit demanding the records from that investigation.

The lawsuit — filed in DC federal court on Dec. 10 — alleges that Giuliani had advance knowledge that the FBI intended to reopen its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server for government work. [...]

Thirteen days before the 2016 election, Giuliani spoke in a Fox News appearance about “a surprise or two that you’re going to hear about in the next few days” regarding “revelations about Hillary Clinton.”

Two days later, Comey sent a letter to Congress informing the body that the FBI had reopened its investigation into the Clinton email server.

There's no doubt in my mind that pulling on this thread is going to reveal something possibly incriminating or at least career-ending for whoever leaked to Giuliani.

Giuliani himself may also be called in to testify when Democrats take control of oversight.
