Respectfully quoting the great Mr. Hand on this 4/20... What are you people? On dope? And by "you people," I mean anyone who is seriously considering voting for a Republican in the Fall.
Let's put aside the massive precedent of total FAIL at the hands of Republicans over the last 30 years. FAIL that gave us the financial meltdown, a pointless war and a variety of other awful things. Put all that aside. If anyone believes that electing a Republican Congress will result in a government that will get something done about this or that, they're insane.
Government will shut down -- and that includes the issuing of Social Security and Medicare checks to everyone, including the contradictory anti-socialist tea party members who are enjoying the benefits of socialist-style government programs. Meanwhile, the only thing the Republican Congress will accomplish is an on-going investigation of the president's goddamn birth certificate. Like the deficit-financed money they spent investigating Clinton's underpants parties -- money well spent!
