The Republicans successfully filibustered Wall Street reform today.
As promised, Senate Republicans blocked a vote to start debate on Wall Street reform this afternoon. In a rather ridiculous move, Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) joined with the GOP, proving once again just how embarrassing he can be.
And wow, Ben Nelson is pretty clueless, no? I mean, the whole idea was simply to catch the Republicans lining up in support of Wall Street. That was the whole point. Nelson doesn't seem to understand entry-level politics. Smooth move, ass.
