GOP Leader: We’re Too Busy to Do Anything About Anything

Written by SK Ashby

Are Republicans even going to try to pass Trump's fake infrastructure plan? Are they going to try to pass an infrastructure bill of their own making? Are they going to try to pass anything significant at all?

Probably not.

You see, Republicans are just too busy doing nothing to do something. They have no current plans to take up Trump's infrastructure bill or anything else according to Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn.

Sen. John Cornyn, the Senate majority whip, said Tuesday that passing an infrastructure bill by the end of the year will be a tough task because lawmakers are facing a host of other priorities — news that would be a major blow to Trump’s hopes for another big legislative victory before the November midterm elections.

"I think it's gonna be hard, because we have so many other things to do and we don't have much time," Cornyn (R-Texas) told reporters.

It's only February. What are their priorities? What are they planning to do?

Don't get me wrong, we'll all be better off if they don't pass Trump's plans to privatize more of America, but this is the Republican party. The Republican party is not a governing party. They aren't going to pass a sensible infrastructure plan. They got their tax cuts. What's left for them do?

I suppose they might try to ban abortion, again.
