Campaigning in a traditionally Republican state, the Democratic nominee found lots of supporters of John McCain, at least one woman who believes the Illinois senator is a "closet Muslim" — and another who repeatedly shouted “Socialist.”
There's nothing more mavericky than using two of the most overused Republican tactics at the same time. Twice the hackery! Do we need anymore proof that the real McCain is no different than the real Bush or the real Nixon or the real Joe McCarthy?
