In other news, the Biden administration is doubling the number of vaccines we're donating to developing countries to 500 million.

Meanwhile, the FDA has finalized a ban on flavored e-cigarettes and ordered retailers to pull 6 million products from their shelves.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, to be honest, because this could just lead to the creation of another underground industry that would be even less safe. Prohibition never works. Why are we still banning things as if the war on drugs wasn't a total failure?

Finally, Britain is finally getting what they really wanted from the Brexit: a return of the imperial measuring system.

The plans, which David Frost, the minister overseeing Brexit, announced on Thursday, were cheered by Brexit supporters, many of whom had argued that the switch to the metric system over the decades was a sign of unwelcome European Union interference in daily life in Britain.

While the European Union currently requires members to use the metric system alone, it had allowed Britain, when it was a member, to label its produce in imperial units alongside metric units. There were also exceptions for traffic signs and beer.

If they were never prevented from labeling their beer using the imperial system, what's the big deal? We all know the pub labeling system is the only thing that really matters.
