With Citizens United, plus a lazy, secretly cherring corporate lamestream media helping them out, the race for the White House is closer than it deserves to be.

However, despite all that, it’s still up to Romney to convince voters why he should become president. He can say all kinds of reasons why Obama shouldn’t be president, but if he can’t come up with one solid reason why he should be president – and so far, he hasn’t and problably never will – all the money in the world won’t give him the victory in November.

Is flooding media with endless campaign propaganda “free speech”? While there may not be a direct quid pro quo, does anybody really believe that the efforts of these rich men and corporations, with interests vastly different than 99.8% of the rest of America, will not be rewarded by the politicians who benefit? Does anybody believe that all of this additional “speech” does not just drown out the voting public?

Emperor Kennedy agrees with Mitt Romney, that the richest among us should continue to be rewarded with the privilege of purchasing elections and purchasing policy. It is a profit-making venture–simply propaganda used to turn the voting public against each other to pad the fat wallets of the Adelsons and Kochs of the world.

So these greedy wingnut billionaires can drop all they want they can’t turn dog shit into Thanksgiving dinner.

The fact remains Mitt Romney has no message. All he has done is stand in front of 200 or so blue hairs and say Obama sucks, elect me. Sure that might be enough for the racist blue hairs but not for a rational fair minded person sitting at home.

And plus money can’t make you a good debater if the likes of Rick Santorum and Rick Perry can frustrate you how can you stand up to Barack Obama? This is where Mitt Romney will show the nation he’s a empty suit. Willard has to tell people how he would handle things different and it gives Obama a chance to do some fact checking in real time.

This has been my thinking on the whole Citizens United mess too. Just one gripe- you should link a couple of the supposed purists, because I’ve heard you mention them before, but I don’t travel into the Greenwaldian and Kossack realms (or whichever, likely emoprog, commentators you’re thinking of) so it’s just hearsay for me at this point.
