Trump Regime

“he’s acting crazy”

So, something amazing but not surprising happened on Thursday night -- we learned that Trump finally got himself infected by the coronavirus or COVID-19. And if there was anything surprising about that, it could only be the fact that it didn't happen sooner. Trump has never taken the virus seriously and this feels like an inevitable result.

Now, I don't know who Vanity Fair's sources are, but they're good. Reports from their top correspondent, Gabriel Sherman, have often given us the most intimate and ultimately accurate look at what's really happening in Trumpworld beneath all the headlines and spin from more access-hungry reporters.

Following Trump's decision to ride around Walter Reed medical center yesterday, Vanity Fair reports that there's a divide between Trump's spawn who are torn between staging an intervention to protect their father from himself and telling him he's doing amazing.

“Don Jr. thinks Trump is acting crazy,” one of the sources told me. The stunt outraged medical experts, including an attending physician at Walter Reed.

According to sources, Don Jr. has told friends that he tried lobbying Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, and Jared Kushner to convince the president that he needs to stop acting unstable. “Don Jr. has said he wants to stage an intervention, but Jared and Ivanka keep telling Trump how great he’s doing,” a source said. Don Jr. is said to be reluctant to confront his father alone. “Don said, ‘I’m not going to be the only one to tell him he’s acting crazy,’” the source added.

One area where the family seems united is over the president’s manic tweeting early Monday morning. After Trump sent out more than a dozen all-caps tweets, the Trump children told people they want Trump to stop. “They’re all worried. They’ve tried to get him to stop tweeting,” a source close to the family told me.

You know, it should not come down to this.

We have a "president" who is more or less a large, 70-year-old child who may be serving while mentally impaired and instead of his status being decided by medical experts and other officials in the Trump regime such as the vice president, his status is being argued by his adult children with no qualifications of their own.

There's a million other reasons why everyone should vote for Joe Biden if you haven't already, but above every other reason you should vote for him just so we'll have a functioning government again.

Nepotism in government is clearly the quickest path to becoming Monarchy Lite.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany has now tested positive for the coronavirus.

Is Donald Trump “acting crazy”? If so, who could tell? *rimshot*

Seriously, though, one of the known side effects of dexamethasone is mood changes (including aggression, agitation and anxiety), so yeah, he could be “acting crazy.”

While it strains credulity that DJTJ would act responsibly, the notion that the rest of the family is unwilling to go along with him is entirely believable: they don’t want to be cut off (imagine the entire Trump clan, penniless and clueless, wandering the streets, wailing Scarlett O’Hara’s line at random passersby, “Where shall I go? What shall I do?”—okay, now imagine it without laughing).

Just as I did with Boris Johnson, and as I do with all people infected by Sars-CoV-2, I wish Donald Trump and all in his administration a swift and complete recovery, by strong preference as private citizens no longer connected to the government of the United States.
