House Republicans Are Already Planning Their Clinton Witch Hunts

Written by SK Ashby

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) at least waited until President Obama had actually been elected before he pledged to make him a "one term president," but House Republicans are already plotting against President Hillary Clinton before the election even takes place.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) is already planning to hold hearings on quid pro quo claims made against Clinton.

Utah Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz, who would likely serve as the chief antagonist of a second Clinton White House as chair the House Oversight Committee, told Fox News last week the "quid pro quo" claim alone was worth at least "four new hearings," claiming it was a "flashing red light of potential criminality."

The FBI has officially denied that any quid pro quo took place, but today's Republican party, which claims to be a pro-law enforcement party, won't take the FBI's word for anything. They've even accused the FBI of being in cahoots with Clinton.

While Senator Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) says he hasn't held a hearing on Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland because doing so would cost too much, his colleagues in the House are already planning to hold frivolous, dead-end hearings to ask questions we already know the answers to. And we know it won't stop at just four hearings. They've laid the groundwork for several years worth of hearings.

Representative Chaffetz abandoned GOP nominee Donald Trump after video emerged of Trump bragging about sexual assault, but this is Trumpism. The Republican party created Trump. Oversight chairman Chaffetz and his predecessor Darrell Issa created Trump.

They've spent years telling the world how corrupt and evil the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton are, but they have nothing to show for it. They have nothing to show for it and they're seen as incompetent for failing to do anything about it. And now they've created a feedback loop. Their constituents will expect them to continue the investigations until morale improves. Anything less will see them branded as traitors by their own base voters.

They wouldn't be in this position if they simply stopped lying with every breath.
