We now have multiple reports from Republican-controlled committees that thoroughly and conclusively debunk a wide range of Benghazi conspiracy theories, but the incoming chairman of the Witch Hunter’s Committee agrees with Lindsey Graham that the latest report from the Intelligence Committee is “full of crap.”
“Knowing as much as I do about Benghazi, I think Lindsey Graham is probably right,” he told the Salt Lake Tribune in an interview published Wednesday. […]
“I know Trey Gowdy and the select committee will get to the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth,” Chaffetz said. “I think it’s fair to wait and see what that committee comes up with.”
If not for Chaffetz, you may have forgotten about the Select Solyndra IRS Committee to Investigate the Benghazi ACORN Birth Certificate, a phantom committee that has done exactly nothing.
Chaffetz says he will leave Benghazi to the select committee, but he doesn’t really have a choice in the matter. That doesn’t mean Chaffetz will spend his time as chairman investigating real problems, however.
During his interview with the Salt Lake Tribue, Chaffetz says we live in a “target rich environment.”
“It’s a target-rich environment. There’s plenty of waste, fraud and abuse,” Chaffetz says. “There’s a lot out there. … There are investigations that have been ongoing for more than a year that you haven’t even heard of.”
There are scandals you’ve never even heard of because we haven’t invented them yet.
It remains to be seen if Chaffetz will be as much of a notorious chicken fucker as Darrell Issa.
