Apparently, John Boehner doesn't understand the basics of human reproduction OR the sex drive that has made us the dominant organism on the planet.
“We expressed our concerns about some of the spending that’s being proposed in the House bill,” House Minority Leader John Boehner said after meeting with Obama.
“How can you spend hundreds of millions of dollars on contraceptives?” Boehner asked. “How does that stimulate the economy?”
Aside from the totally sexy and awesome use of the word "stimulate" in the question (because, really, if the economy is wearing a condom, how can it be as stimulated?!), that is really an amazing question for him to ask, and not just because his name is just a fancy-spelled version of "boner."
Apparently JohnnyCat doesn't know that people have sex a lot. Probably because he doesn't. Have sex. A lot. He also apparently doesn't realize that if people frequently get it on and don't use a jimmy hat or some other form of conception-blocking method, then they will end up getting preggers, something that I know for a fact has never happened to John "The" Boehner. And therefore how could he possibly realize that people who have an unplanned, unintended pregnancy, and who can't afford a baby, will end up either getting an abortion or having the baby, either method costing potentially a little more or a hell of a lot more to the nation in the long or longer run. And I am damn sure Little John and his Boehner don't realize that we have a massive population growth problem on a planet that we are making less and less inhabitable for our species every day, and that's all going to cost us a hell of a lot of greenbacks.
All this is rather complex for poor little Boehnhead, but we must try to get him to understand. Or just get him out of office.
