Mitt Romney is a Dumbstupid

Staggeringly dumb:

“Now I know there is also a movement to say that carbon dioxide should be guided or should be managed by the Environmental Protection Agency. I disagree with that,” he said at a Manchester, New Hampshire event, furthering his descent into denial. “I exhale carbon dioxide,” he continued. “I don’t want those guys following me around with a meter to see if I’m breathing too hard.”

Actually, he's not that stupid, but he's pandering to stupids who might vote for him. These stupids think the government will regulate breathing as though it's the same as power plants and cars churning out tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere by the day.

Fact: human breathing doesn't even make the list of greenhouse pollutants. Why? The EPA writes (I can't believe I have to do this):

The average person, through the natural process of breathing, produces approximately 2.3 pounds (1 kg) of carbon dioxide per day. The actual amount depends strongly on the person’s activity level. However, this carbon dioxide is part of a natural closed-loop cycle and does not contribute to the greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere. Natural processes of photosynthesis (in plants) and respiration (in plants and animals) maintain a balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Thus, the carbon dioxide from natural process is not included in greenhouse gas inventories.

Doy. But keep pandering to the morons in your party, Mitt.
