In other news, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and secretary Ben Carson have denied that he even knew about his expensive renovations, but emails show Carson and his wife were involved from the beginning.
An August email from a career administration staffer, with the subject line "Secretary's dining room set needed," to Carson's assistant refers to "printouts of the furniture the Secretary and Mrs. Carson picked out."
The documents were released following a Freedom of Information Act request from American Oversight, a liberal watchdog group led by former Obama administration officials, and offer a snapshot into how the agency acquired the furniture.
Meanwhile, the family of former DNC staffer Seth Rich have filed a lawsuit against Fox News and two network staffers for spreading the conspiracy theory about their son's death. One of the network contributors, Ed Butowsky, is still claiming there's a conspiracy.
Finally, a protester who filmed violence at the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville has filed a lawsuit against InfoWars and Alex Jones for saying he's secret operative for the "deep state."
Also -- Don Trump Jr. is getting divorced because it's "getting harder to resolve their issues" while the elder Trump is in office. No shit?
Programming note... I'll be offline tomorrow. I'm heading out with family to watch the first day of the NCAA tournament at a bar and after that I'm catching the first showing of Tomb Raider. Loved the 2013 game reboot.
RIP Stephen Hawking (1942 - 2018) this was always my favorite Pink Floyd song, but now it takes on even greater significance for me. Keep talking, professor.
