In other news, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker (R) says he has ordered the state National Guard not to deploy any resources to the border because of Trump's child separation policy. The state's Air National Guard was going to deploy helicopters.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has punted on partisan gerrymandering, again, by rejecting a case filed by Democrats in Wisconsin. This probably won't be decided until next year.
Finally, Trump has nominated Kathy Kraninger, one of Mick Mulvaney's underlings, to succeed him at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). As a temporary appointment, Mulvaney would have had to resign this week if Trump had not nominated someone.
