Newt likes to talk out of his own ass. A lot. And there's quite a record of bigtime lies, falsehoods and contradictory remarks. But here's a big effing whopper of a lie that rises to the top of the list.
“I’m not a Washington figure.”
Not that inside-Washington expertise should be a disqualifying factor, but, yes, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives isn't a product of the Washington, DC establishment.
Uh-huh.
He's also a saint who never divorced his cancer-recovering wife while simultaneously preaching family values and impeaching the president for marital infidelity.
