In reply to Aynwrong. Yes he does. He knows the law and how utterly impossible it was to find any kind of violation on the part of Hilary Clinton of any of the relevant laws. The legal standards are very high and quite clear. The whole 'investigation' was a fishing expedition and a smear job.

I cannot wait for some responsible journalist to do a comprehensive expose on Comey. What the hell compelled him to insert himself into the election? It just makes no sense. Was he really that worried about keeping his job? I want to know.

The Obama administration could have called out Russian meddling whenever it pleased, eh? Last September, the administration wanted to publicize Russian interference in the election, and called a meeting with the Gang of 12 at the White House. The Washington Post, 9 December 2016:

According to several officials, [Mitch] McConnell raised doubts about the underlying intelligence and made clear to the administration that he would consider any effort by the White House to challenge the Russians publicly an act of partisan politics.
