Poll

Obviously Bad News for Democrats

I jest.

A new poll released by Rasmussen today shows President Obama taking a 10 point lead over the un-"safe" and un-"electable" Mitt Romney in their national tracking poll.

The Rasmussen tracking poll of a possible matchup between President Obama and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney shows Obama with a ten point lead in their polling. The Ras national tracking poll is an average of 500 automated interviews a night over three days. "This is the largest lead the president has enjoyed against Romney in regular polling going back more than a year," Rasmussen wrote in its analysis. "It’s also the first time that the president has reached the 50% level of support against Romney."

Rasmussen is a conservative-leaning tracking poll.

I don't think it's a coincidence that this new Obama surge began when voters actually started going to the polls. When voters were forced to start making a choice. It also coincides with a boat-load of scrutiny Romney has faced regarding Bain Capital, overseas tax-havens, his not-conservative record as governor, and strapping his dog to the roof of his car.

The closer Mitt Romney gets to the nomination, the worse his numbers become. I can only assume this means voters are okay with the idea of Mitt Romney, but not pleased with the actual candidate Mitt Romney.
