I’m not sure Rs want poor people to die or go away. The brighter among them are hazily aware that poor people do the drudge work, so getting rid of the poors would not be in their interest.

Once the proles can no longer properly serve their betters, though, that’s another story.

Sadly, they want the poor people to die, or just get out of the country. That way, they won’t have to give any of their own hard-earned (snark) money to those awful poors. If they can gut Social Security in the bargain, then it’s a win-win for them, because old people should just die, already. I’m really beginning to feel like the French must have before the revolution. There are a couple of rich people I’d give a pass to, but most of them, no.

A payroll tax holiday is madness. Structuring it as a tax deferral is a transparent attempt to kick the can down the road past November.

Cutting the federal unemployment benefit from $600 to $200 is a giant middle finger raised at the public.

What Mitch McConnell will proudly release will be almost perfectly engineered to do nothing helpful. In other words, it will be the perfect bill to come from the Rs in the Trump era.
