From my source on the Hill:
Republicans just voted down a basic resolution supporting public works and the contribution to building the nation because it had three lines saying that the Recovery Act created jobs, citing facts based on our transparancy reporting stats from the states.
So basically: Screw public works projects and, you know, jobs. Reality is such a dumb stupid!
