Meanwhile, Unilever, which is the largest consumer goods conglomerate in the world, says it will stop advertising on American social media because it's a cesspool.

The consumer goods company, which owns brands like Dove Soap and Lipton tea, joins a growing advertising boycott against Facebook as part of the “Stop Hate for Profit” campaign started by U.S. civil rights groups after the death of George Floyd. The effort called on Facebook, which owns Instagram, to do more to stop hate speech. [...]

Continuing to advertise on these platforms at this time would not add value to people and society. We will be monitoring ongoing and will revisit our current position if necessary,” Unilever said in a statement.

Finally, he didn't elaborate, but Trump's former national security adviser John Bolton says Boris Johnson "played" Trump just as easily as Vladimir Putin.

“The reason this is positive for Britain is that Trump can’t distinguish between his personal relationships with a counterpart leader, and the actual state of the national relationships between two countries,” Bolton said in an interview broadcast Thursday.

This is actually a very clear but simple way to describe Trump's behavior toward other world leaders. And the reverse is also true. If Trump does not like a leader such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, for example, Trump will try to change official U.S. policy to spite them.
