In other news, Planned Parenthood announced today it will no longer accept reimbursement for transferring fetal tissue for research.

“This new policy removes beyond the shadow of a doubt the ludicrous idea that Planned Parenthood has any financial interest in tissue donation — and shows the real agenda behind these attacks,” [Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards] wrote in a statement.

Meanwhile, Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach has used his new authority to file charges for voter fraud against just 3 individuals dating back to 2010. I don't have the numbers in front of me but that must be a fraud rate of something in the neighborhood of 0.00003 percent.

Finally, real guns may be coming to college campuses in Texas but Nerf guns still aren't allowed.

Texas's law will create likely contradictions in campus dorm policies. At Texas A&M, the state's largest public university, for instance, candles, toasters and Nerf guns are expressly forbidden from students' dorm rooms — but real handguns will be allowed with a permit.

It might seem odd to many observers that telling a 21-year-old that we don't trust them to exercise good judgment when it comes to making toast but that keeping a handgun and potentially deciding when and how to apply lethal force is fine.

No shit.
