Apparently you should consider voting for Renee Ellmers (R-NC) because she’ll save us from the “Obama-Aiken economy.”
Americans are living in an “Obama-Aiken economy,” Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC) said in a confrontational debate on Monday night with her Democratic opponent Clay Aiken. [...]
“This Obama-Aiken economy is just killing us,” Ellmers, who is widely favored to win the race, said during the debate.
It’s not clear if Ellmers is aware that her opponent, Clay Aiken, is a former American Idol contestant and has never held public office.
As you may recall, Ellmers first landed in the news last year when she refused to give up her paycheck during the Republican government shutdown, saying that the bottom line is that she “needs her paycheck” unlike the thousands of federal employees who were furloughed.
This person is “widely favored” to win.
