Survey: Republicans Like Their Obamacare Coverage

This is one reason, among several, that I believe Republicans will sue President Obama over immigration rather than Obamacare.

A survey conducted by the Commonwealth Fund found that an overwhelming majority of self-identified Republicans like the plans they signed up for under Obamacare.

Overall, 73 percent of people who bought health plans and 87 percent of those who signed up for Medicaid said they were somewhat or very satisfied with their new health insurance. Seventy-four percent of newly insured Republicans liked their plans. Even 77 percent of people who had insurance before — including members of the much-publicized group whose plans got canceled last year — were happy with their new coverage.

House Republicans may chose to sue President Obama over Obamacare after all, but they won’t get any electoral traction from it.

Political motivation being the only motivation they have for filing a lawsuit seems to be a generally-acknowledged premise.

Update… it looks like I was wrong. ABC News staff are reporting that the Republican lawsuit will target the delay of the employer mandate in Obamacare.

I was under the impression that Republicans believe mandates are an overreach, but apparently they’re suing because a mandate was delayed.
