Most of SB1070 was left intact, the Supreme Court ruled against the provision enabling checks for citizenship status during traffic stops

And of course Jan Brewer endorsed Trump

Erm … that’s not his head.

He has drafted quite a few bills in several states for ALEC that have passed into law. SB1070 was only one of his abominations. Just heard on the radio the other day that SB1070 had a clause (still in effect in AZ) that any citizen could sue local governments if they failed to enforce immigration laws. Now let that sink in. If some bigoted ahole sees or even thinks that his local Chief of Police isn’t enforcing Federal laws (that he ironically isn’t authorized to enforce in the first f*cking place), said bigot could sue the ever lovin crap out of the City and the Police Department to try to force them to act. Which would mean stepping outside the bounds of their jurisdiction and could potentially bankrupt a struggling town (of which there is no shortage here in the great state of freedumb and cacti). Seems there was more stupid in SB1070 than I realized.
