See that red mass off to the right? That was Sunday and Monday in the Northeast. T-shirt weather. Literally t-shirt weather. I went out Sunday to the stores in jeans and a t-shirt, because it was 60 degrees. Then the temperature dropped over 40 degrees in a matter of hours. That’s a bit of a drastic drop, even for “Wait a while, it will change” New England.

But confirmation bias is right. The people I am forced into contact with who are all proudly standing around today declaring no global climate change, when asked about the ridiculously warm weekend, shrug it off. “A fluke” they say. We need a scientific test to check for how susceptible you are to confirmation bias, then a Gattica program to breed it out of us before it ends up destroying our species.
