Earliest this week Jeb Bush called for defunding Planned Parenthood and diverting the money to another organization.
That's exactly what he did as governor of Florida, but the organization he directed the money to was not equivalent to Planned Parenthood.
Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida lost $124,000 [in 2002] from its family planning division. Bush diverted the funds to abstinence-only educational programs. Now teens who use Planned Parenthood have a $15 co-pay and must pay $7 for birth control. "We do charge the teens now," said LaWanda Walker, public affairs coordinator for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida. "That we really, really hate. You need to be able to have services and make it convenient."
The first GOP debate will take place tonight and I'm sure Planned Parenthood will be slandered by all 10 candidates more than once.
Meanwhile, John Bolton's super PAC warns us that Rand Paul is a dangerous man who will nuke us all.
For all the lengths Rand Paul has gone to to convince Republicans that he's a real neo-con too, he still gets the mushroom cloud treatment.
