Next, restore some justice and sanity to our justice system, make sentences consistent with those found in the more advanced nations and release non-dangerous prisoners. Right there, you’ll have a few trillion dollars cut from the budget. Now, to make sure taxpayer dollars stop falling down the rabbit hole, restore fair (pre-Reagan) tax rates on the rich and corporations. If they don’t like it, they at least have the means to leave. Now were moving into budget surplus territory, so make sure taxpayer dollars are actually reinvested in America and the American people.

And was it just me, or did the whole thing seem like a uber-cheesy game show? Was there an “Applause” prompter to cue “And we’re back from our commercial break…!” ? Even the chime that signalled the time limit sounded like something out of “Jeopardy.” It was weird to me, like I was watching a politi-tainment (bad) reality series. The anti-tax pledge is further proof, if any is needed, that these people have no interest in actual governance.
