I can't even believe people are seriously considering the notion of shoving a nuclear bomb into the oil well. It almost seems like a sarcastic, snarky solution that you'd rattle off with a series of other outlandish joke ideas. Yeah, we should shove Glenn Beck's fat punch-me face into the well to block it. Either that or nuke the thing. POW!
Just because Soviet Russia, the home of the Chernobyl disaster, did it, doesn't mean we should do it. Adding nuclear material to the situation just seems remarkably silly.
